Diamond Trio

Diamond Trio Slot Machine Review by Novomatic

Get ready for an exciting spy adventure with the Diamond Trio slot machine from the legendary provider Novomatic. This slot will transport you into a world of intrigue, dangerous missions, and, of course, precious gems. If you appreciate classic slot machines with straightforward gameplay and the potential for big wins, Diamond Trio will definitely catch your attention.

Game Mechanics and RTP

Diamond Trio is a classic 5-reel slot with 3 rows of symbols and 9 adjustable paylines. Players can choose the number of active lines, allowing them to control their betting level and game strategy. The goal is simple: collect combinations of identical symbols on active lines, starting from the leftmost reel.

• RTP (Retu to Player): The theoretical retu to player percentage in Diamond Trio is around 95.00%. This is an average figure for Novomatic slots, promising a reasonable balance between win frequency and size.
• Volatility: The slot exhibits medium volatility. This means you can expect both relatively frequent small wins and chances for larger payouts, which, however, will occur less often. This level of volatility suits both players with a small bankroll and those willing to take risks for bigger prizes.

Symbols:

• Low-paying symbols: Traditional card values from 10 to Ace, styled in a spy movie aesthetic.
• High-paying symbols: Secret documents, sports cars, pistols, and, of course, diamonds. These symbols bring the most significant wins.
• Scatter symbol: The image of three charming female spies (Diamond Trio) is the scatter. This symbol plays a key role in activating bonus features.

Bonus Features

Despite its classic foundation, Diamond Trio offers several exciting bonus features that significantly enhance game dynamics and win potential.

Scatter Symbols and Free Spins

The main highlight of the slot is the free spins feature, activated by scatter symbols:

• If 3 or more Diamond Trio symbols (scatter) land anywhere on the reels, the player receives 12 free spins.
• During the free spins round, all winnings are multiplied by 3, significantly increasing potential payouts.
• Free spins can be retriggered if 3 or more scatters land again during the bonus round, adding another 12 free spins to the current count.

Respin (Scatter Feature)

One of the unique features of Diamond Trio is the mechanic related to scatters, which can be interpreted as a type of respin or an additional chance:

• If two Diamond Trio symbols land on the reels, they remain in place, and the other reels spin again (respin), giving you an extra chance to get a third scatter and activate the free spins round. This significantly increases the chances of triggering the bonus game and adds excitement to the base game.

Gamble Feature

As in many classic Novomatic slots, Diamond Trio includes a gamble feature. After any winning spin, you can double your winnings by guessing the color of the next card (red or black). Be careful: an incorrect choice will result in the loss of all winnings for the current round.

Final Verdict

Diamond Trio by Novomatic is an excellent choice for those who appreciate time-tested classics combined with exciting bonus features. Although the graphics may seem somewhat outdated compared to mode slots, they perfectly match the "spy retro" aesthetic and do not distract from the gameplay.

Medium volatility and an RTP of 95% make the slot appealing to a wide range of players. A distinguishing feature of Diamond Trio is the respin mechanic when two scatters land, significantly increasing interest in the base game and the frequency of free spin activation. The x3 multiplier during free spins can lead to truly significant wins.
