Ghost of Dead Slot Review by Play'n GO

Prepare for a thrilling jou ey to Ancient Egypt, where the mysticism and mysteries of the pharaohs come to life in the Ghost of Dead slot by the renowned provider Play'n GO. This classic "book-style" slot offers players not only a familiar but also a significantly enhanced gameplay experience with unique bonus features and the potential for big wins. Immerse yourself in a world of ancient gods and powerful ghosts to uncover the secrets of forgotten treasures.

Game Mechanics and RTP

Ghost of Dead is a classic slot with 5 reels and 3 rows, offering 10 fixed paylines. Winning combinations are formed by landing three or more identical symbols on an active line, starting from the leftmost reel. The gameplay is intuitive, making the slot accessible to both beginners and experienced players.

• RTP (Retu to Player): The RTP range in Ghost of Dead is standard practice for Play'n GO and may vary depending on the casino. The main version of the game offers an RTP of 96.21%, which is a good indicator for mode slots. However, operators may offer versions with a lower RTP, so it is always recommended to check this information before playing.
• Volatility: The slot has high volatility, which means that wins may be less frequent, but potentially larger. This makes the game particularly attractive to those willing to take risks for a chance at a big prize.

Symbols

The symbols in Ghost of Dead are designed with an Egyptian theme and are divided into two categories:

• Low-paying symbols: Classic card ranks from 10 to Ace, stylized as ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs.
• High-paying symbols: More valuable symbols include the Ankh, Eye of Horus, Golden Cobra, and the Pharaoh himself, who is the highest-paying symbol.

Special Symbols:

• Scatter/Wild (Book): The Book symbol performs a dual function. It acts as both a wild, substituting for any other symbols to form winning combinations, and a scatter, activating the free spins feature.
• Ghost Scatter (Canopic Jar): This unique symbol appears only during the base game and is key to activating the free spins feature with an additional expanding symbol.

Bonus Features

Ghost of Dead wouldn't be a typical "book" slot without exciting bonus features that significantly increase the chances of big wins.

"Book of..." Mechanic and Expanding Symbols

As in many slots of this genre, a key feature is the expanding symbols during free spins. Before the free spins begin, one regular symbol is randomly chosen to become a special expanding symbol. When this symbol lands on the reels during free spins, it expands to cover the entire reel if it leads to a winning combination. Expanding symbols pay independently of paylines.

Free Spins and Option Selection

The free spins feature is activated in two ways, each offering its own advantages:

• Regular Free Spins: Landing 3 or more Book (scatter/wild) symbols anywhere on the reels triggers 10 free spins. Before the round begins, one regular symbol is randomly chosen to become the expanding symbol.
• Ghost Spins: This feature is activated when 3 or more Ghost Canopic Jar (ghost scatter) symbols land on the reels. In this case, you also receive 10 free spins, but with one significant difference: two expanding symbols are randomly chosen instead of one! This significantly increases the potential for big wins.

It is important to note that during free spins, the feature can be re-triggered; landing 3 or more scatters (Books or Ghost Canopic Jars) will add another 10 free spins to the current count.

Final Verdict

Ghost of Dead by Play'n GO is an excellent representative of the "book" slot genre, which has managed to bring a fresh perspective to a familiar mechanic. High-quality graphics, atmospheric sound design, and engaging gameplay immerse the player in a world of ancient Egyptian mysteries. High volatility and the potential for big wins of up to 10,000x the bet make this slot attractive to thrill-seekers.

The main highlight of the game, of course, is the ability to activate Ghost Spins with two expanding symbols, which significantly increases the chances of forming powerful combinations. The RTP range, although it may vary, offers fair conditions for players in its main version.

If you are a fan of Egyptian-themed slots and enjoy the expanding symbols mechanic, but are looking for something with an extra twist, Ghost of Dead is definitely worth your attention. It successfully combines classic elements with innovative features, offering an exciting and potentially very profitable gaming experience.
