Get ready for an exciting jou ey into the heart of Ancient Egypt with Playtech's Pyramid Linx slot machine. This slot will transport you to a world of pharaohs, mystical symbols, and untold riches, offering unique mechanics and generous bonus features. Pyramid Linx is not just a game; it's an entire expedition where every spin can bring you closer to legendary treasures.

Mechanics and RTP

Pyramid Linx features a classic gaming structure with 5 reels and 3 rows, offering players 20 fixed paylines. However, a classic layout does not mean boring gameplay. Playtech has introduced a number of innovative solutions to the slot that make every spin unpredictable and exciting.

• RTP (Retu to Player): The RTP range in Pyramid Linx varies but is typically between 95.95% - 96.48%. This is a fairly high indicator, suggesting good long-term winning chances.
• Volatility: The slot has medium volatility. This means you can expect both relatively frequent but small wins, as well as occasional large payouts, especially during bonus feature activations.
• Paylines: 20 fixed paylines provide many opportunities to form winning combinations.

Bonus Features: The Key to the Pharaohs' Treasures

Pyramid Linx is packed with exciting bonus features that not only add excitement but also significantly increase the winning potential. These mechanics are what make the slot truly unique and appealing.

Symbols and Their Meanings

• Wild Symbol: Depicted as a golden pharaoh's mask. It substitutes for all regular symbols, helping to form winning combinations. In some modes, the Wild can be expanding.
• Scatter Symbol: Represented by a pyramid. Three or more such symbols on the reels trigger a free spins round.
• Linx Symbols: These are special symbols with monetary values or jackpots. They are key to activating the Linx feature.

Linx Bonus Game

This is the heart of Pyramid Linx's bonus features. It is activated when 5 or more Linx symbols appear on the reels. In this game, you get 3 respins, and the Linx symbols that activated the feature remain in place. Each new Linx symbol that appears during respins is also locked and resets the respin counter to 3. The goal is to collect as many Linx symbols as possible to get their monetary values or even one of the fixed jackpots (Mini, Minor, Major, Grand).

Free Spins with Choice of Option

When 3 or more Scatter symbols (pyramids) land, a free spins round is triggered. Before the round begins, the player is offered to choose one of two free spin options, each with its unique characteristics:

• Pyramid Free Games:
  • You get 8 free spins.
  • During these free spins, only high-paying symbols and Linx symbols appear on the reels.
  • Wild symbols can be expanding, covering the entire reel and increasing chances for big wins.
  • Possibility to retrigger free spins by landing additional Scatter symbols.
• Wild Linx Free Games:
  • You get 5 free spins.
  • Each Wild symbol that lands during these free spins becomes "sticky" and remains in place until the end of the round.
  • Additionally, each Wild symbol also awards a random monetary value, which is summed up at the end of the round.
  • This feature can also be retriggered.

"Book Of..." Mechanic

Although Pyramid Linx does not have a direct "Book Of..." mechanic, the expanding symbols element in Pyramid Free Games alludes to this popular mechanic. Expanding Wild symbols can fill the reels, reminiscent of the expanding symbols in "Book of Ra" slots and its clones, significantly increasing winning potential.

Reelset Change

An important feature of the slot is the change of the reelset (the set of symbols on the reels) during various bonus rounds. This adds dynamism and freshness to the gameplay, as each mode offers its unique set of symbols and rules.

Final Verdict

Pyramid Linx by Playtech is a well-designed and engaging slot machine that successfully combines classic Egyptian themes with innovative bonus features. Medium volatility and competitive RTP make it attractive to a wide range of players, from beginners to experienced high rollers.

The variety of bonus games, especially the ability to choose a free spins option, gives the slot depth and replayability. The Linx feature with its jackpot potential adds an extra layer of excitement. The graphics and sound design are of a high standard, creating an atmosphere of mystery and adventure.

If you are looking for a slot with rich functionality, good chances of winning, and an exciting theme, Pyramid Linx is an excellent choice. It promises not only an engaging pastime but also the opportunity to uncover ancient secrets and claim the treasures of the pharaohs. We highly recommend trying this slot!
