Tequila Poker

Tequila Poker Slot Review by Playtech

Get ready for a unique poker adventure mixed with the atmosphere of hot Mexico! Tequila Poker by Playtech is not just video poker, but an intriguing combination of classic poker and a dynamic slot that will give you unforgettable emotions and a chance to hit a big jackpot. This game is ideal for those looking for something new and unusual in the world of card games.

Game Mechanics and RTP

Tequila Poker by Playtech offers players unique mechanics that differ from traditional video poker. The goal of the game is to collect the highest-paying five-card poker hand. However, unlike the classic version, there are several interesting twists here.

• Starting the Game: The player places a bet and receives four cards.
• Choosing a Strategy: After receiving the initial cards, the player has two options:
  • Tequila Poker: Continue playing poker by drawing two more cards to form a standard five-card poker hand.
  • Tequila Bonus: Forgo the poker part and proceed to the bonus game, where the winnings depend on the strength of the first four cards.
• RTP (Retu to Player): The theoretical retu to player percentage in Tequila Poker is approximately 97.90%. This is a fairly high indicator, making the game attractive for those looking for good winning chances. However, it is worth remembering that RTP is achieved over the long term, and each session may vary.
• Volatility: The game's volatility can be described as medium. This means you can expect both relatively frequent small wins and occasional larger prizes.

Understanding these mechanics is key to successful play. The choice between Tequila Poker and Tequila Bonus requires strategic thinking and assessment of odds based on the cards received.

Bonus Features

Tequila Poker doesn't abound in traditional bonus rounds like slots, but its unique mechanics are the main bonus feature in themselves, offering players two paths to winning.

• Tequila Poker Option: If you choose this path, the game continues as standard video poker. You receive two more cards to form the best five-card hand. Payouts are made according to a standard poker paytable, starting from a pair of Jacks or better. The higher the hand, the greater the win.
• Tequila Bonus Option: If you decide to go the Tequila Bonus route, your bet enters bonus game mode. Here, winnings depend solely on the strength of your four starting cards. Payouts are made for the following combinations:
  • Pair (2s to Kings)
  • Two Pair
  • Three of a Kind
  • Straight
  • Flush
  • Full House
  • Four of a Kind
  • Straight Flush
  • Royal Flush
The paytable for Tequila Bonus usually has its own coefficients, which can be very generous for rare combinations. This option adds an extra layer of excitement and strategic choice.

The main "bonus feature" of the game is the choice between the two strategies itself. The player needs to evaluate their initial four cards and decide which path will bring them the most benefit. This requires not only luck but also some understanding of poker probabilities.

Final Verdict

Tequila Poker by Playtech is a refreshing take on the video poker genre, successfully combining elements of classic card games with innovative mechanics. A high RTP of 97.90% makes it attractive for those looking for good winning chances, and medium volatility provides a balance between frequent small prizes and the opportunity to hit a big jackpot.

The unique ability to choose between Tequila Poker and Tequila Bonus adds depth and a strategic element to the game. It's not just a game of luck, but an opportunity to make decisions that can significantly affect the outcome. The graphics and sound design create a pleasant Mexican atmosphere, although they are not the main highlight of the game.
